Twenty men went out last night the sea was looking rough / they set out from the harbor underneath the rocky bluff / well they left with empty pockets through the early morning fog / and they swore that they’d be back in time to pack the Salty Dog / thirty yards away from shore the captain got too drunk / he spun the wheel downwards and that mighty vessel sunk / twenty men were hanging on to one long twisted line / one man brought them back to shore and got ‘em feeling fine / when the sky is coming down and shaking up the scene / when the wind is howling like a drunken wolverine / when the waves are breaking and you don’t know who to call / ooo-oo-oo / Beady Point Paul / Little Annie Sunday is no stranger to the sea / she never met a sailor who she wouldn’t like to be / she lives out in a trailer that’s been painted aqua-blue / and she never wears a shirt to hide her big anchor tattoo / sometimes when she’s lonely she lays back and shuts her eyes / whistles at the window louder than a seagull cries / one man will come knocking / one man will come in / one man will make Annie never leave these shores again / when the sky is coming down and shaking up the scene / when the wind is howling like a drunken wolverine / when the waves are breaking and you don’t know who to call / ooo-oo-oo / Beady Point Paul / at the furthest juncture where the water meets the rocks / living in a shack no bigger than a cardboard box / from the earliest of sunsets to the latest sunrise / sitting by a lantern drinking beer with other guys / master of the air and sea / master of the land /master of all food that comes preprocessed in a can / may your dragons never wake you / may your basement never fall / ooo-oo-oo /Beady Point Paul / ooo-oo-oo /Beady Point Paul.
